Then I decided that I will only smoke half a cigarette at a time in order to reduce my smoke intake, but that only lasted for three days, and I went back to 20 a day. Then I decided to only light my first smoke at four o clock in the afternoon in order to only smoke maybe 5 cigarettes a day. It did not work, because I was longing for cigarettes all day long and as soon as I lit the first one I managed to chain smoke till bed time. Practically I went back to 20 a day, though it only took me from four till nine at night. Then I stopped cold turkey and it lasted for three weeks, but I started again. Then I stopped cold turkey again for one month, but without success, then I stopped again for one month, but without success again. Eventually I stopped cold turkey for one year, but I gave in again. Then I did the patch thing, but it only lasted for two weeks and I went back to my smoking again. I realized the negative health risks of smoking, and I knew I had to find a way to quit.
